Description
Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy is seeking a full-time teacher for grades K-2. PHAA is a K-12 school that serves approximately 120 students in the beautiful Bay Area east of San Francisco. The candidate must be an outstanding teacher having a passion for teaching primary grade students the love of God through the academic disciplines. Additional duties may include supervision, and other duties that are typically associate with a teaching position. Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policies. Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching credential or license in secondary mathematics education.

Math Teacher
Description
Rio Lindo Adventist Academy is a private Seventh-day Adventist boarding high school located in beautiful Northern California. We serve a diverse population of students in grades 9–12, with a mission to reflect Christ, cultivate the relevancy and excitement of learning, and impact the world through education and service.
We are currently seeking a passionate and mission-driven Secondary Math Teacher to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be a committed educator with a heart for students, strong instructional skills, and a desire to integrate faith into the learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach 5-6 math courses ranging from Algebra I through Pre-Calculus or Calculus (specific course load TBD based on experience and enrollment)
- Implement standards-based instruction and assessment strategies
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and academically rigorous classroom environment
- Integrate Seventh-day Adventist faith and values into curriculum and student interactions
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives and professional development
- Supervise students and contribute to campus life through dormitory, extracurricular, or spiritual programming as needed

Experience Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education
- Current NAD (North American Division) secondary teaching certification or willingness to obtain

- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Passion for mentoring high school students in a boarding school environment
- Already have the legal right to work in the United States and be able to provide proof of such.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or additional certifications
- Experience teaching in a boarding school setting
- Familiarity with Standards-Based Learning (SBL) and/or differentiated instruction
- Ability to sponsor or lead extracurricular programs (e.g., STEM clubs, math competitions, etc.)

Live a lifestyle that supports traditional Adventist values. Be flexible and enjoy living and working closely with young people, having good communication and relational skills.
