HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER OPENINGS

  • Job Description: Lodi Academy is currently seeking a IT Director/Technology Teacher to be part of our team for the 2024-2025 school year. Lodi Academy is a 9-12 day Academy located in the fertile San Joaquin Valley, only 45 minutes south of Sacramento, and an hour and a half from the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and the San Francisco Bay Area. The current enrollment for Lodi Academy is 79 students, with potential to grow. We share a forty-acre campus with the thriving Lodi SDA Elementary School with enrollment averaging 180 students. Lodi Academy has been providing excellence in Adventist Education since 1908.

    The IT Director/Technology Teacher at Lodi Academy will build, maintain, update, and troubleshoot the IT network, servers, equipment, and devices for Lodi Academy and manage the Google School/Classrooms. The IT Director will also manage the digital archives and records including but not limited to Renweb/FACTS. The IT Director will also assist teachers and students with technology needs and partner with the Administration in long-term IT planning. The IT director will also manage digital subscriptions for students and staff.

    As a teacher, courses taught will include Computer Applications, technology elective(s) with an emphasis on students earning certification and certificates in areas such as app development, IT infrastructure, programming, web design, office software (example: Microsoft Office) and 3D modeling. The applicant should be able to put an emphasis on creating lifelong learners that prepares students for rapid changes in technology and how to use it. With the rapid developments in AI, it is important that the faculty member in this position is willing to help colleagues, administration, and students navigate the use of AI as teachers, students, and future employees or entrepreneurs.

    Other teaching assignments in related subjects, as needed by Lodi Academy, will be added to the teaching load. The expected teaching load is 4 classes.

  • Job Description:
    Rio is seeking a full-time Food Service Assistant to work directly with the Food Service Director. This individual is responsible for serving as lead cook, stocking food items, filling containers, preparing and serving meals and drinks, and maintaining a clean kitchen, serving area, and dining room for Rio Lindo Adventist School cafeteria. Also performs other related work as required.

    Experience Requirements:
    High school diploma preferred. At least two to three years of culinary experience in quantity food preparation and cooking preferred, or completion of a recognized course in quantity food preparation and cooking of at least six months duration. Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States. Ability to obtain and maintain current Sonoma County Food License required.
