Unlike previous years, you will only need to apply once for most of our scholarships. Once submitted, our scholarship committee will determine the best scholarship for your child/ren. If you have any questions, please contact scholarship@nccsda.com

Pacific Union Conference Based Scholarships/ BECAS DE LA UNIÓN PACÍFICA

  • Students in grades 1-8 or in a full-day Kindergarten program in an NCC elementary school

  • Students in grades 9-12 at an NCC Academy or Junior Academy, undergraduate students at La Sierra University, Oakwood University, Pacific Union College, and Universidad de Montemorelos.

  • Open to all families with students entering Kindergarten or 9th grade in an NCC elementary or high school.

NCC Based Scholarships/Becas de la Conferencia del Norte de California

  • Reserved for SDA students in grades 3 – 8 in an NCC elementary school who have never previously attended an SDA school

  • Expand to Description: Students in grades 1-12 in an NCC day school

  • Students in grades 1-12 in an NCC day school

    • For qualifying full-time undergraduate students at La Sierra University, Oakwood University, Pacific Union College, and Universidad de Montemorelos (and to other institutions on a case-by-case basis).
    • Reserved for African-American students whose church membership is in one of the churches overseen by the NCC African American/Urban Ministries Department: Novato Horeb Haitian, Oakland Elmhurst, Oakland Immanuel Temple, Oakland Market Street, Pittsburg, Richmond Beacon Light, Sacramento Capitol City, Stockton Mayfair, Stockton Valley Community, Union City, and Vallejo Berea SDA Churches. The NCC African American/Urban Ministries
    • Coordinator reserves the right to award these scholarships to other qualified students on a case-by-case basis.
    • For qualifying full-time undergraduate students at La Sierra University, Oakwood University, Pacific Union College, and Universidad de Montemorelos (and to other institutions on a case-by-case basis).
    • Reserved for Hispanic students whose church membership is in one of the churches overseen by the NCC Hispanic Ministries Department: Camino Spanish, Chico Spanish, Concord International, Fairfield Suisun Spanish, Hayward Spanish, Lincoln Spanish, Live Oak Spanish, Lodi Spanish, Napa Spanish, North Highland Spanish, Oakland Spanish, Pleasant Hill Hispanic American, Sacramento Spanish, St. Helena Spanish, San Anselmo Spanish, Santa Rosa Spanish, Stockton Spanish, Tracy Spanish, Vallejo Spanish, and Woodland Spanish Churches.

    The NCC Hispanic Ministries Coordinator reserves the right to award these scholarships to other qualified students on a case-by-case basis.

    • For qualifying full-time undergraduate students at La Sierra University, Oakwood University, Pacific Union College, and Universidad de Montemorelos (and to other institutions on a case-by-case basis).
    • Reserved for Asian students whose church membership is in one of the churches overseen by the NCC Asian-Pacific Ministries Department: Alameda East Bay Chinese, All Nations of Elk Grove, American Canyon Fil-Am, Central Valley Korean, Contra Costa Korean, East Bay Fil-Am, Napa Valley Korean, Rohnert Park Korean, Sacramento Fijian, Sacramento Indonesian, Sacramento Korean, Sacramento Samoan, Sacramento Tongan, and Stockton Fil-Am Churches.

    The NCC Asian-Pacific Ministries Coordinator reserves the right to award these scholarships to other qualified students on a case-by-case basis.

    • Reserved for African-American students whose church membership is in one of the churches overseen by the NCC African American/Urban Ministries Department: Novato Horeb Haitian, Oakland Elmhurst, Oakland Immanuel Temple, Oakland Market Street, Pittsburg, Richmond Beacon Light, Sacramento Capitol City, Stockton Mayfair, Stockton Valley Community, Union City, and Vallejo Berea SDA Churches
    • Oakwood University and other SDA colleges and Universities – list provided by request
    • Northern California Conference contribution: $200

    This is a special scholarship that has very specific requirements. The applicant must be graduating from high school this year, planning to attend an SDA college/university, and must be declaring a major to become a pastor or teacher. The application must be submitted with all required documents no later than April 1 and is to be submitted to the local SDA Academy principal. The principal finishes the selection process and forwards it on to the NCC. Scholarships sent directly from students cannot be accepted.

    • For undergraduate students at La Sierra University, Pacific Union College, and Universidad de Montemorelos whose church membership is in a Northern California Conference Church.
